  1. **Caution geeky video clip!!** Taken on my phone so really poor quality, but this is XGL Linux on my computer now I finally got the graphics card installed a gave Linux a shot again. Very purdy...

  3. very niiice ... like the way you can physically drag it onto other desktops (reminds me of solaris) and way the window deforms when dragged ... whats it like with networking? can you still do the hyperterminal thing? command prompt for network testing? only thing holding me back from linux really


  4. Networking is OK, it's got all the terminal/command prompt things you could need too. I didn't really bother messing with network stuff that much tho so can't say anything more detailed just yet.
    The effects are verrrrry purdy though, this clip really doesn't do it justice (running at 1680x1050 btw).

    However, I mainly just installed it to do a few things quickly I usually do on the server, and to check out the how the effects have changed/been updated since I first tried XGL a while ago now.

    ...and now I've wiped it and stuck XP Pro back on Laughing

    Wiped off Vista by accident though at the same time! doh!
