  2. broxibear, is that any good for dog training? only if you don't mind saying! was it costly?

  3. she has been a dream to train , she is 11 months now and will point , flush retrieve , and take commands by whistle,  , i would highly recomment the breed , she cost £800

  4. Hey!!! sorry, I was refering to the collor....
I've been a springer lover from knee high. The springer would do all that but point "It's great though, that we've gadgets to buy to help train'em"
It dont really matter what breed, if it's a hunting dog, and you want to train it for hunting it's in there temperment to do there thing, it's you're commands that you have to learn'em which takes time.
I have two older springers which you can view on my profile, the female is used for hunting and the male dog is for beating he'd go thru anything staying around 5-15meters from me.

  5. you're whistle commands are they 1 pip 2pip's and 3or more pips for calling in? The collor! is it a sonic tone? or the shock?

  6. ready
lets see, they point, flush, listen to commands...you guys talking about dogs or husbands? hehe

  7. its a pointing collar , when she goes on point in tall scrub , i cant see her , so the collar sends out a tone to a reciever i wear round my neck ,,  spot on with the whistle commands ,,  and ready i dont have a husband so i wouldnt know , lol

  8. right, I thought that it was the training collor. I know the one you have, I think it's the beagle that wears them most if its stuck in the hole "to be dug out, you know". I'm not sure if its the collor you should be using though, to me, the whistle would do the job i.e calling in.

  9. why would i call in a dog that was on point ???? the collar is there to let me know she has found something?? .

  10. Hey!!! I'm lost. so you say- when the dog see's something the reciever that you wear round you're neck gives out a tone... So how does this collor know when to activate on your end? Confused Confused Confused

  11. it has a mercury switch in it ,, when the dog is Quartering the ground its silent, when the dog does on point and is still for more than 10 secs , the switch is activated, and sends a signal to the receiver round my neck . so if shes in cover and i cant see her i still know shes on point

  12. Well that all sounds very confusing but I just wanted to say, what a beautiful dog she is. She looks very well cared for. XXX

  13. thank you cheeky chick  xx
